Year 13 students are
ready for the next step
Frensham would normally have welcomed their Year 13 students into school on Thursday to collect their A Level results but, as with most things recently, results day was a little bit different.
What remains unchanged however is the delight of Head, Rick Clarke that so many of the students at Frensham have once again achieved their full potential. 100% successfully passed their A Levels and 42% achieved grades A*-A and 72% achieved A*-B. Rick commented that ‘after such an incredibly difficult and uncertain time, we are thrilled that the vast majority of our students achieved their expected grades and are well placed to move onto the next stage in their lives.’
However, a Frensham education is more than just about exam results with Rick keen to stress how important it is to remember that no one is defined by their exam results.
“As important as they are as stepping stones to the next stage, it is the learning along the way that makes the difference. A unique school like Frensham prepares young people for the modern world by instilling values and skills that will stand them in good stead for the rest of their lives. A key part of our approach is our exceptional teaching staff who have worked tirelessly to prepare the students and then again to ensure that the grades submitted were a fair and honest reflection of the students’ abilities. I am very grateful for their help and support.
We are hugely proud of all our students, with the results reflecting their diverse interests and strengths. Frensham is a community that cherishes each individual and we have no doubt that they will all go on to follow their passions and do great things in their chosen fields.”
