On Thursday 16th May, we were delighted to host an event in aid of the Edinburgh project this year. Students going to Edinburgh were lucky enough to have an improvisation workshop in the afternoon with comedian Marcus Brigstocke and improvisation specialist Paul Foxcroft, where they were taught some of the skills needed for this challenging and exciting style of performance. Marcus and Paul were later joined for the evening performance by fellow professionals Rachel Parris and Amy Cooke-Hodgeson who encouraged the students to perform alongside them in the first half, and gave us an incredibly funny and clever show in the second half. We are so proud of our students for rising to this challenge, and extremely grateful to Marcus and his friends for giving up their time to perform and to help us raise money to take our original production “Knock Knock” to Edinburgh this summer. The theatre was full of laughter from a large and appreciative audience, to whom we are also grateful for the support.
