Dance at Frensham
Dance is at the heart of our creative curriculum. From Nursery through to Year 9, every student explores movement, expression and performance as part of their structured dance education - building confidence, creativity and physical literacy from an early age. This strong foundation leads naturally into GCSE Dance and A Level Dance qualifications for students who wish to pursue dance more seriously, making Frensham Heights one of the few schools to offer a truly continuous dance education from early years through to Sixth Form. Beyond the timetable, students can extend their passion through a vibrant range of extracurricular dance classes including ballet, street dance and commercial dance, ensuring every style and interest is catered for.
Performance is central to the Frensham Heights dance experience. Our students perform on a fully professional stage at the Aldridge Theatre, gaining real-world experience of what it means to present to a live audience. This exposure to professional performance develops not only technical skill but also resilience, stagecraft and artistry - qualities that set our students apart. Whether a student is taking their first steps in dance or preparing for an A Level showcase, every performance opportunity is approached with ambition and care.
