A VISUAL INTRODUCTION TO FRENSHAM HEIGHTS
Film company, Kipper Tie, have spent several days over the last year filming at Frensham Heights. Their brief was simple: no scripting and no set up shots.
Think, Create, Explore
Ours is a proud heritage. We have stayed true to our founding principles of child-centred learning and mutual respect. We have pioneered and grown without compromising what we do or how we do it.

We have a long tradition of welcoming those who have suffered prejudice and cruelty. This began during and after the Second World War when Frensham became a safe haven for young people fleeing Nazi Germany. Today we continue to refuse to discriminate on the basis of race or religion.

Creativity has many meanings at Frensham and it is found in every aspect of the school, from the classroom to the art studio, from the dance hall to the theatre and from the staff room to the study. Creativity is not confined to the stage or the orchestra.

The fact that we have no uniform and are called by our first names demands much more from the whole community than traditional approaches.

This is an open letter to ALL those interested in joining me on our next partnership visit to Malawi in 2014.
A snapshot of the wonderfully diverse range of artistic styles produced by students at Frensham Heights.
If there’s one thing you have done for me this year it is to make me realise that my child’s progress is my child’s progress; it’s not against others or rules or statistics.
It’s my child’s journey and they are developing into a more confident and happier child. For that I will be eternally grateful.
Our son loves this school. We’re delighted with his effort, academic progress, behaviour, relationships with other children and his general happiness.
My daughter is incredibly happy in the school. She has flourished in the last two years. She is confident, enjoys her learning, is inquisitive about life and can never wait to return to school after the holidays…I couldn’t have wished for any more.
When you child says ‘I love my school – so glad I stayed for Sixth Form’, that about sums up how great Frensham has been for our son. We could not have wanted any more…They have challenged our son to work hard and he has responded…The relationship the children have with the teachers is very positive and encourages them to learn while not being afraid to debate their ideas.
