BEYOND THE CLASSROOM

Life Beyond the Classroom: The Edge Programme and Enrichment at Frensham Sixth Form

At Frensham Sixth Form, education goes far beyond the classroom. While academic success is at the heart of what we do, we also focus on helping students build essential life skills, grow in self-confidence and prepare for whatever path they choose next, be it university, apprenticeships or the world of work.

Students are encouraged to stay active, creative and engaged - with countless opportunities to perform in theatre productions, music concerts, or take part in overseas expeditions that broaden horizons and build real-world experience.

The Edge Programme

Students develop a wide range of personal

EXTRACURRICULAR CLUBS

You’ll have the chance to take part in an incredible range of extra-curricular activities. Whether you’re into rock music, scuba diving, the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award or film making, there’s something here to match your interests and maybe help you find new ones too.

If you’ve got a great idea for a new club or activity, you can create and run it yourself. Sixth Form students often lead their own clubs, developing confidence, teamwork and leadership skills along the way.

PERFORMANCES

At Frensham, we believe the creative and performing arts are central to a well-rounded education. Whether you love being in the spotlight or prefer working behind the scenes, you’ll find countless opportunities to get involved and express your creativity.

Each year, students can take part in a rich calendar of performances, including a senior school drama, a musical production plus dance and music concerts. Students also provide live music for Fireworks Night a Founders’ Day.

Alongside these major events, there are plenty of informal performance opportunities throughout the academic year, giving every student the chance to shine and develop their artistic confidence.
