Welcome to Fireflies Nursery, a vibrant and nurturing early years setting nestled within the beautiful grounds of Frensham Heights School in Surrey.

We are now open year round (48 weeks) and if you need a longer day or flexible hours, we are open 7.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. We also accept 15 & 30 hours funding. Our new hours and options are now available. See Nursery fees.

A Day at Fireflies Nursery & Preschool

Our daily rhythm is shaped around your child’s interests and energy. With access to Forest School sessions, creative arts, and specialist teaching in French, PE, Music, Drama, and Dance, children enjoy a rich and varied experience. Whether they’re climbing trees, painting masterpieces, or visiting our friendly chickens and goats, every day is filled with discovery.

From little learners to confident explorers

We believe in an early years education that celebrates each child's individuality. Our experienced EYFS team thrive on the imaginations and energy of the children in their care. We follow a Planning in the Moment approach—responding to children’s interests in real time to create meaningful learning experiences. And the team goes beyond the Nursery practitioners - it includes PE, Art, Music, Dance and languages teachers.

Belonging to a wider school community

They may be the littlest, but our preschool and nursery children are just as important in our whole school community as the big kids and teachers. They benefit from the same exceptional facilities - they perform on the same stage and all eat together in the same lunch room. You'll even see them enjoying time together with the junior school visiting our chickens and goats in the Frensham Kitchen garden and farm.

Fireflies Nursery is open all year round (48 weeks), from 7:30am to 6:30pm.
Our highly trained staff are passionate about encouraging your child's growth and development.
Our friendly on-site chickens and goats offer a truly special learning experience!
Specialist teaching in French, Drama, PE, Music, Dance, and Art.
Nutritious lunch and snacks are all provided and prepared fresh onsite, plus breakfast and tea for those longer days.
