INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Our modern approach and creative ethos creates an environment where everyone can feel at home. We are very lucky to have been found by many international families looking for a dynamic, future-focused education for their children, whether as day students or boarders.

Every year we sponsor students so they can join us on child student visas – we work closely with you through the visa process and make sure everything is in place before your child starts with us.

Visas

VISAS

Frensham Heights is a Sponsor under the UK Visas & Immigration’s Tier 4 system. We employ the services of Newland Chase Education to confirm that all the requirements are met for sponsorship, before issuing the Confirmation of Acceptance of Study (CAS), which is required for the visa application.  Once a place has been offered and accepted at Frensham Heights we will put you in touch with Newland Chase Education who will then assist you with your visa application.

Guardians

GUARDIANS

All international students must have a nominated guardian who is over 25 years old and either a British Citizen or Settled in the UK. The guardian must have living arrangements in place that meet the requirement of UK immigration rules and checks will take place prior to the student starting with us to confirm that living arrangements are satisfactory. The guardian is responsible for the student’s travel and accommodation for half term holidays and Bank Holiday weekends and has other responsibilities including when a student is unwell or parents evening when a parent cannot attend. Read about the responsibilities of guardians here.

Frensham Heights cannot advise on Guardians, but we strongly recommend that Guardians are accredited by AEGIS, (Guardianship Organisation Accreditation in the UK).

EAL

ENGLISH AS AN ADDITIONAL LANGUAGE

To make the most of the Frensham experience, we encourage all international students to immerse themselves in the English language.

An annual fee of £3,750(2024/25) is payable for those international students for whom English is not their primary language and who have been recommended by the School to receive additional support in this area. This fee covers a maximum of two lessons per week for the year. Parents will be advised if further lessons are required at an additional cost.

DON’T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT!
